ABOUT THE EVENT

The Biometrics Institute provides a platform for rich, balanced and trusted conversations. View our Statement of Trusted Conversations to understand what makes our events unique. For example, the event will be held under Chatham House Rule and will be off-the-record (no media) to facilitate open dialogue between our members and stakeholders.

During the first half of 2024, the Institute engaged with members in discussions about the relationship of biometrics and artificial intelligence as well as important developments in digital identity, privacy and legislation. This year’s Showcase event continues to develop these themes within the context of Australian and New Zealand policies and perspectives. It also explores the future role of responsible biometrics in the development of digital identity service delivery.

This one-day event will explore government and user policies, developments in biometric safeguards, recent research findings, and developments in technological innovation to give delegates the tools and information needed to implement and promote ethical and effective biometrics.
