MEETING OUTLINE
Join us to shape the future of biometrics, responsibly, ethically and effectively. As some of our members summarised it last year:
“The content was stellar.”
“The broad spectrum of subject matter expertise and variance of opinion and thought are critical to the maturation of biometrics and identity management principles worldwide.”
“I really enjoyed the presentations, conversations, and follow-on discussions that this environment facilitates.”
This is a complimentary Congress side-event (seats reserved for Congress delegates, are limited and priority given to our members) offering the chance to meet with the Expert and Sector Groups of the Biometrics Institute who help develop our good practice guidance and de-facto governance standards.
The highly interactive half-day event will explore existing recommended and good practices for biometrics and how to put them into use. It is also the opportunity for participants to provide input into current and future Biometrics Institute projects and activities, all with the aim of continuing to promote the responsible and ethical use of biometrics.
In previous Joint Expert Group Briefings, with thanks to our members’ input, we have been able to understand where the most pressing need for good practice guidance lies, and what might be required to fill the gaps. In past years this led to the development of our Ethical Principles for Biometrics and Verification (1:1) and identification (1:n) explanatory graphics.
