MEETING OUTLINE
The Biometrics Institute aims to deliver content to its members in a timely and concise format. Our online On the Pulse Conversations allow our members to connect globally and discuss important topics as and when the conversation is most needed.
The Institute’s Industry Survey 2024 found that multimodal biometrics are on the rise as our industry seeks enhanced security. Will artificial intelligence (AI) be a game changer for biometrics, as a fraud enabler but also a fraud detector? And is DNA the next frontier? That is what we are asking in the State of Biometrics Report 2024 . This event will have a look at biometric technology and take stock where we are at the start of the new year and what we are hoping to see develop over the coming months.
Is there a need for multimodal biometrics?
Our Industry Survey also revealed that digital identity is fuelling the adoption of biometric technology but concerns over deepfakes prevail. Privacy and data protection remain on top of the agenda. How do we move forward in a responsible, ethical and effective way? Is multimodal biometrics the answer or what else are we seeing?
