MEETING OUTLINE
This On the Pulse Conversation takes a different approach to the other events in this series.

The event will continue our discussion about the relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and biometrics. We presented a discussion paper at our two recent conferences, Asia-Pacific Conference in Sydney in May and the US Strategy Forum in Washington DC in June. We are now offering our global membership to engage in this important conversation, with the aim of creating a statement containing the different viewpoints and arguments which the Institute can first present to its members for final review at the Biometrics Institute Congress in London on the 22-23 October 2024, and then at the Showcase in Canberra on the 4 December. The statement will then be used in all future Institute communication to create greater clarity around AI and biometrics.

The Biometrics Institute provides a platform for rich, balanced and trusted conversations. View our Statement of Trusted Conversations to understand what makes our events unique. For example, the event will be held under Chatham House Rule and will be off-the-record (no media) to facilitate open dialogue between our members and stakeholders.

Speakers include:

  • Isabelle Moeller, Chief Executive, Biometrics Institute
  • Dan Bachenheimer, Director, Biometrics Institute
  • Roger Baldwin, Advisory Council Member, Biometrics Institute
  • Brett Feldon, Head Digital Identity Group, Biometrics Institute
  • Martin George, Member Digital Identity Group, Biometrics Institute
